X-ray examination rooms require structural radiation shielding to neighbouring rooms. Knauf Radiation Protection Systems are used in the field of X-ray diagnostics and X-ray therapy.
Areas of Application
With Knauf Safeboard radiation protection plates and possibly a cover layer made of diamond plates, such constructions are particularly economical.
In the case of high radiation protection requirements (high lead equivalent), radiation protection trays are coated with Bleibelch radiation protection plates with 0.5-3 mm thick lead sheet lamination.

Knauf Cantilever ceilings are suspended ceilings which are fixed exclusively to the walls.
Knauf cantilevered ceilings are suspended ceilings which are fixed to the walls. A suspension from the raw ceiling is therefore no longer necessary.
The Knauf gypsum boards are screwed onto a metal substructure made of Knauf CW profiles as single or double profiles.
Areas of Application
As suspended ceilings under solid ceilings, beamed ceilings and trapezoidal sheet metal ceilings used to improve the fire / sound or thermal insulation, for the production of a completely free installation level between raw ceiling and visible ceiling and to regulate the ceiling height.
The fire protection is effective depending on the ceiling system alone through the plasterboard ceiling or is obtained by the interaction of plasterboard ceiling and raw ceiling.
